A few months ago, I was lucky enough to be gifted a fabulous box of yummy fruitfulness including a fruit platter from homegrown, Dubai based fruit delivery company ‘Fruitful Day’. Here’s a review of my experience for my fellow Homies, should you be considering ordering fruit for your home residence or office, or perhaps find yourself in need of their catering services.

Who is Fruitful Day?

Fruitful Day is a healthy eating company, founded by a group of friends, that provides fresh fruit and other products to the residents and visitors of the United Arab Emirates. As their produce is from local and regional suppliers, they can offer well-curated “in-season, in-region fruit”. This unique approach means that UAE residents can enjoy fruit at its nutritional peak rather than relying on over-refrigerated, imported goods.

Since launching Fruitful Day back in 2015, we have been truly overwhelmed and energized by our clients’ response to our products. We believe that making small choices towards a healthy lifestyle is the way to improve well-being and we’re thrilled to play a part in that. Process

I ordered our box direct via the company’s marketing division. However, a quick scan of their website shows that the order experience is straight forward; with just a few taps of your keyboard, you can order your box online by choosing your preferred option and size. Our box was delivered promptly by a friendly chap and included 25 servings of a variety of seasonal fruits; ideal for a small family like mine (3 adults and a toddler).

Presentation

Fruit Platter – As it so happened, I had the Fruitful Day fruit platter delivered to my good friend and fellow Homie ‘Shyrell’ of Enchante Studios for her house warming party. Partly because I wanted to share the experience but also because I knew that she would be taking gorgeous photo’s of her event that I could (cheekily) use for this review.

The platters were styled to perfection in lovely wooden bowls or white tray boxes and full to the brim with a vast array of freshly cut and whole pieces of fruit, gourmet cheese, nuts and other tasty goodies. Shyrell’s guests, including myself, devoured the platter.

Fruit home delivery box – Our fruit for the home was delivered in a sturdy cardboard box. Personally, I love the branding and all the fruit was tastefully and neatly wrapped in white biodegradable paper bags, or kept loose; no plastic wastage at all, which automatically receives a big thumbs-up from me. Our box contained bananas, cherries, grapes, blueberries, peaches and more. A detailed printed note was included which highlighted the box contents and where the fruit was sourced.

Quality of fruit

The fruit received for both orders was colourful, ripe, fresh and delicious and clearly high-quality produce. It was evident the Fruitful team are picky when it comes to their fruit selection and the taste reflected that.

Cost

The Fruitful Day platters start from 150aed and their Discovery Box is usually priced at 135aed per box. However, Fruitful Day are offering a trial price of 120AED for your first order! The trial box includes 25 servings of fruit with between 15-20 seasonal varieties. Trial boxes are currently only available in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

In Short

I honestly can’t fault the service and quality of fruit received. Would I personally shell out 135aed a week on fruit? Probably not, but hey, if you have the financial means and appreciate high quality, seasonal fruit, then you should go for it! I would, however, most certainly consider ordering the Fruitful Day platters for an event or special occasion and I’ve put Fruitful Day on my radar for my sons upcoming 3rd birthday.
