Namaste veggies
Indian food is long known to be the playground for vegetarians with its love for spices, the various methods of cooking it uses, the very many kinds of vegetables it has and how various parts of India have drastically different kinds of preparations. There may be no better time than now, with it being Navratri, a nine-day festival dedicated to the Goddess of Power when most Indians follow a strictly vegetarian diet. These are some of the fully vegetarian Indian restaurants that have something on offer for you.
Khau Galli: Indian street food is almost always vegetarian. Khau galli (or food street) really focuses on the dishes found on the streets of cities all over India. From samosas to chaat to pav bhaji, feel free to head to flavour-town with these dishes. Don’t miss the Pani puni where a fried crispy and hollow dough ball is filled up with mashed potato and sprouts, flavoured with various spices and topped with sweet and spicy sauces. Best eaten on the streets of Kolkata and Delhi, for now we will have to make do with them delivered to your home.
