The bohemian style has fast become a global trend, dominating magazines, Pinterest boards and Instagram pages of the discerning interior enthusiast the world over. This style is the ideal aesthetic for those who want their homes to be vibrant, interesting and unique; unlike other home design trends, this free-spirited style attracts people who want their homes to be original.
There are no rules in the bohemian décor style; no minimalism, no perfection, no rigidity and perhaps most important, no matching decor. By its very nature, it is unconventional. It combines details that are relaxed, bold, and unusual.

1- Mix and Match Patterns, Textures & Colours:
The key to the perfect bohemian interior is to mix and match. Boho style typically involves an eclectic mix of natural elements with colours, patterns, and textures. Utilize throw pillows, blankets, pouffes, baskets and macrame hangings to capture the intrigue of the bohemian style.

When selecting furniture and decor for your space, adding natural sustainable materials will enhance the overall boho look; rattan, cane, woven bamboo and wooden decor will all help to add that extra natural touch.

A relaxed, informal and inviting atmosphere is at the core of the boho space. Create a welcoming and ambient space that encourages people to come, sit down and stay awhile by adding comfortable floor pillows and pouffes.

When targeting a boho vibe, try to avoid heavy dark or black items. Instead, look for furniture and decor in natural materials and light colours. Boho interiors showcase bright and airy vibes for a welcoming feel.

‘Bohemianism’ is the opposite of ‘less is more’, it’s the practice of unconventionality and incorporating art into that lifestyle. It’s a style that should resonate personally, so feature what you love – each item should be special and tell a story.
